About the Artist

Justin Clark works directly from the model and believes that this produces more magic and grace. He is based at the Second Floor Studios & Arts overlooking the Thames Barrier Reef.

He never works from photographs. Although he knows many talented artists who do, for his own work his belief is that it would be a 'short cut' and akin to cheating, loosing many of the 'alive' and vibrant qualities that drive him.

He is also a member of the Hesketh Hubbard Art Society, who meet regularly at the Mall Galleries. During the first week of August a portrait by Justin Clark will be on display at the Mall Galleries - entry free.
